The Sacrament of Marriage is an honoured institution of the Church. It speaks to all Christians of the love and unity binding Christ and His Church. Marriage demonstrates to the whole of the faith community that love is rooted in God.

1. SETTING THE DATE:
Contact the parish office at least 6 months prior to your anticipated wedding date.
2. WEDDING TIMES:
Weddings are normally celebrated on Saturdays at 3:00 p.m. [not during Advent or Lent]
Rehearsals are usually scheduled on the evening prior to the wedding day.
At least one of the parties must be a Catholic.
A civil marriage license is required.
NB: If either party, regardless of religious affiliation, has been married before, no date for a marriage in the Church can be reserved until an ecclesiastical annulment or dissolution of marriage has been granted.
4. WEDDING MUSIC
No pre-recorded music is permitted.
Music should be scriptural, theologically well-founded, and in keeping with the sacred space that is the church.
To hire the Parish Music Ministry team, please contact the Director of Parish Music Ministry – Theresa St-Arnaud (604) 924-1272. The following choices are available: organist; pianist; soloist; choir; folk choir with guitars; or a combination. Fees are dependent on the needs of the wedding party and range from $150.00 – $350.00.

6. SUGGESTED CHURCH OFFERINGS
Registered, contributing parishioners: $200.00 / Non-registered visitors: $300.00
A separate offering may be made personally to the priest - the normal offering is between $100.00 to $150.00
Altar Servers receive an honorarium of $10.00 each.
7. THE CHURCH BUILDING
Petals, rice, confetti, birdseed, etc. may not be thrown inside or outside the church. Soap bubbles may not be released.
The Church property is a smoke free environment.
